Columbus Catholic girls basketball beats Rib Lake in season opener

RIB LAKE – Addison Baierl scored 20 points to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team to a 57-21 win over Rib Lake in a nonconference game to open its 2019-20 season on Tuesday night at Rib Lake High School.

Columbus Catholic ran out to a 21-8 lead by halftime and cruised from there, holding Rib Lake to just 13 points in the second half.

Holly Dean added nine points and Kelsey Moore had seven for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic opens its Cloverbelt Conference East Division schedule Nov. 26 at home against Colby.
