NEENAH – The Marshfield volleyball team went 2-4 to finish in fourth place at the Neenah Invitational on Saturday.
The Tigers beat Appleton Xavier in the opener 25-22, 21-25, 15-9, before losing to Waupun 25-23 and Neenah 25-19, 25-16. Marshfield rebounded with a 25-20, 25-18 win over Sun Prairie, but lost its next two matches 25-14, 25-14 to Waupun and 25-11, 25-12 to Kaukauna.
Setter Sarah Wolff had 72 assists for the Tigers. Sarah Cherney led the hitters with 23 kills. Tiffany Stargardt added 16 and Melissa May had 15.
Kim Johnson had 10 block kills and six aces, and Darian Molter led the Tigers defense with 80 digs.
Marshfield plays at Merrill on Tuesday.
