Spencer boys basketball opens season with rout of Granton

SPENCER – Eleven different players scored for the Spencer boys basketball team, which opened its season with a resounding 89-21 win over Granton on Tuesday night at Spencer High School.

The game was the season and Cloverbelt Conference East Division opener for both teams.

Brett Kasch had 25 points and 14 rebounds, and Hayden Bauman had 21 points, five rebounds and eight steals to lead the way for the Rockets.

Noah McConkey had eight points for Granton.

Spencer hosts Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Friday.
