Prentice pulls away in second half to top Stratford girls basketball

STRATFORD – Prentice pulled away in the second half to beat Stratford 43-35 in a Marawood Conference North-South crossover girls basketball game Friday night at Stratford High School.

Defense was the name of the game in first half as the score was tied at just 14-14 after the first 18 minutes.

Prentice was able to pull out the win with a 29-21 advantage in the second half.

McKenna Isaacson scored 15 points and Kaelyn Isaacson added 14 points, making 7 of 8 free throws, to lead the Buccaneers (3-1, 2-1 Marawood North).

Breanna Ackley had 11 points and nine rebounds for Stratford (1-2, 0-2 Marawood South).

Stratford hosts Marathon in a Marawood South contest on Tuesday.
