Auburndale cross country runner Erricka Zenner has been voted as the WDLB-WOSQ Radio & MarshfieldAreaSports.com November High School Athlete of the Month.

The High School Athlete of the Month Award sponsors for the 2019-20 school year are Cost Cutters Family Hair Care of Marshfield and Burt Trophy & Awards. The monthly award will continue through June 2020, and the winner of the WDLB-WOSQ Radio & MarshfieldAreaSports.com High School Athlete of the Year will be announced July 9.

Varsity athletes from the following high schools are eligible to be nominated for the award: Abbotsford, Athens, Auburndale, Colby, Columbus Catholic, Edgar, Granton, Greenwood, Loyal, Marathon, Marshfield, Neillsville, Owen-Withee, Pittsville, Spencer, Stratford and Thorp.

Zenner earned 538 of the 1,049 votes cast during voting from Dec. 1-7 at MarshfieldAreaSports.com.

Other nominees for the November award were: Abbotsford football player Dalton Feddick, Marshfield cross country runner Joseph McKee and Stratford football player Ben Barten.

Zenner helped the Apaches to a third-place finish in the Division 3 girls standings at the 2019 WIAA State Cross Country Championships in Wisconsin Rapids on Nov. 2. Zenner finished a team-best 35th at the meet in 20:54.2. The Apaches earned their third-straight top-five finish at the state meet, and was also the D-3 sectional and Marawood Conference champion.

Zenner joins Marshfield soccer and football player Kyle Tremelling (September) and Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball player Meghan Kibbel as winners of the Athlete of the Month award during the 2019-20 school year.
