OWEN – Austin Bacon scored 27 points, and Brett Kasch added 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Spencer boys basketball team to its fourth-straight win to start the season as it beat Owen-Withee 71-62 on Thursday night at Owen-Withee High School.
Spencer is now 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division. Owen-Withee falls to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Bacon made five 3-pointers and was 8-for-13 at the free throw line, and Kasch made 6 of 9 shots, including two 3-pointers, and was 7-for-10 on free throws to lead the way for the Rockets.
Spencer was 9-for-21 overall from 3-point range.
Tyler Weaver and Aaron Ovyn each scored 21 points for Owen-Withee.
Spencer’s next game is Tuesday at Gilman.
