EDGAR – Breanna Ackley finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocked shots to lead the Stratford girls basketball team to its first Marawood Conference South Division victory of the season as the Tigers downed Edgar 41-36 on Friday night at Edgar High School.
Edgar led 16-15 at halftime before the Tigers pulled away in the second half as Ackley scored 12 points and Kamryn Schueller added six in the final 18 minutes.
Stratford is now 2-3 overall and 1-3 in the Marawood Conference South. Edgar falls to 3-2 and 1-2 in conference play.
Stratford hosts Colby in a nonconference game Monday.
