WAUSAU – Four Stratford players scored in double figures as the Tigers cruised to a 76-54 win over Wausau Newman Catholic in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Friday night at Newman Catholic High School.
Teddy Redman scored 20 points, Chandler Schmidt had 18 points, Ben Barten scored 13 points, and Dawson Danen added 12 for the Tigers, who are now 2-0 overall and in the Marawood South.
Barten also had 15 rebounds and Danen had 10 boards for the Tigers.
Stratford led 36-25 at halftime before putting the game away with a 40-point second half.
Newman Catholic is now 0-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Stratford hosts Marathon on Tuesday.
