Stratford wrestling opens Marawood season with win over Chequamegon

STRATFORD – The Stratford wrestling team opened its Marawood Conference dual meet schedule with a resounding 60-19 win over Chequamegon on Thursday night at Stratford High School.

Stratford had eight pins and won two matches by forfeit to cruise to the victory.

Karter Stuttgen (120 pounds), Max Schwabe (138), Konner Stuttgen (145), Jake Heiden (152), Devin Dennee (170), Hunter Ford (182), Trevor Dennee (195) and Cole Marten (220) each won by pin for Stratford.

Karter Stuttgen needed just 20 seconds and Ford only 33 seconds to earn the victories.

Stratford will compete at the Stanley-Boyd Invitational on Friday night.
