Marshfield girls basketball wins at Merrill

MERRILL – The Marshfield girls basketball team won its second-straight game in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, going on the road and beating Merrill 46-41 on Friday night at Merrill High School.

Maddie Michaelis had four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 16 points for the Tigers, who are now 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the WVC.

Kaydee Johnson added 11 points for the Tigers.

Courtney Krueger topped Merrill (2-4, 1-2 WVC) with 15 points.

Marshfield will host its annual holiday tournament next weekend. The Tigers will play Hudson on Dec. 27 and Oshkosh North on Dec. 28.
