D.C. Everest pulls past Marshfield in battle of WVC boys basketball leaders

SCHOFIELD – D.C. Everest overcame a three-point halftime deficit to down Marshfield 48-42 in a battle of Wisconsin Valley Conference boys basketball leaders on Friday night at D.C. Everest High School.

Marshfield led 25-22 at halftime but scored only 17 points in the second half as the Evergreens pulled away.

D.C. Everest is now 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. Marshfield drops to 4-5 and 2-1 in conference play.

Anthony Posteluk had 14 points and 11 rebounds for Marshfield. Addison Hill added 11 points in the loss.

Alec Stuedeman had 13 points and Cade Sivertson chipped in 10 for D.C. Everest.

Marshfield hosts Chippewa Falls for a nonconference game at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
