STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point Pacelli handed the Spencer boys basketball team its first loss of the season, downing the Rockets 61-40 in a nonconference game Friday night at Pacelli High School.
Pacelli held a 49-29 rebounding advantage and held the Rockets to 34 percent (15-for-44) shooting in the win. Pacelli is now 6-2 while Spencer drops to 6-1.
Brett Kasch had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Austin Bacon added 11 points for the Rockets.
Mason Schlagenhaft had 19 points and Nick Hartman chipped in 14 for Pacelli.
Spencer hosts Loyal in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Tuesday.
