Columbus Catholic boys basketball crushes Granton

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team climbed back to the .500 mark on the season with a dominating 89-32 win over Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup on Monday at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons (4-4, 3-1 Cloverbelt East) cruised out to a 45-13 lead by halftime and built on their lead from there.

Thirteen different Columbus Catholic players scored in the win. Jadon Nienast led the way with 21 points and Eden Jacobson added 15.

Noah McConkey had 21 points for Granton (0-7, 0-4 Cloverbelt East).

Columbus Catholic plays a Cloverbelt East game at home against Gilman on Tuesday.
