Auburndale girls basketball tops Chequamegon

AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale girls basketball team opened up a double-digit team by halftime and rolled to a 59-35 win over Chequamegon in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday night at Auburndale High School.

Auburndale led 27-17 at halftime and finished off the win by outscoring Chequamegon by 14 in the second half.

Kaitlyn Kundinger had 15 points to lead Auburndale, which had 10 different players score in the victory.

The Apaches are now 9-4 overall and 5-3 in the Marawood South.

Josi Orr had 22 points to Chequamegon (3-8, 1-5 Marawood North).

Auburndale returns to action Thursday at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
