MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield gymnastics team took over sole possession of first place in the Great Northern Conference Large Division with a 137.625-133.55 win over Stevens Point on Thursday night at Marshfield High School.
Gracie Holland won three events outright, tied for first in another, and was the all-around champion at the dual meet for Marshfield, which is now 2-0 in the GNC Large. Stevens Point falls to 2-1.
Holland won the vault (9.35), uneven bars (9.475) and balance beam (9.25), and tied with Stevens Point’s Riley Keene for first in the floor exercise (8.9) to finish with an all-around score of 36.975.
Jade Scholl finished third in the floor (8.85) and the balance beam (8.6), and Alexis Mushel was third in the vault (8.6) for Marshfield.
Katelyn Trowbridge had three second-place finishes for Stevens Point and was second in the all-around.
Marshfield will compete at Antigo on Tuesday in another GNC Large dual.
