Spencer volleyball throttles Granton

GRANTON – The Spencer volleyball team won its sixth straight Cloverbelt Conference match with a dominating 25-4, 25-8, 25-4 win over Granton on Monday night.

Courtney Schulz and Paige Johnson each had four kills to lead Spencer, which took advantage of numerous Granton mistakes to gain the majority of its points.

Kylie Esser had 11 service aces and Alicia Endreas and Jenna Hagen each added nine for the Rockets. Esser led Spencer with eight assists and Kyleigh Hebert had five.

Spencer hosts Gilman on Tuesday and plays at Greenwood on Thursday in a battle of second-place teams in the Cloverbelt.
