Spencer boys basketball cruises past Granton

GRANTON – Spencer shot 65 percent from the field and rolled past Granton 81-29 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game Friday night at Granton High School.

Austin Bacon was 10-for-13 shooting and scored 25 points, and Brett Kasch made 11 of 17 shots to finish with 23 points for the Rockets, who improve to 9-3 overall and 8-1 in the Cloverbelt East.

Eric Ehlert added 11 points and Caleb Rucker scored 10 for Spencer.

Noah McConkey led Granton (0-12, 0-9 Cloverbelt East) with 15 points.

Spencer will play a nonconference game at Pittsville on Tuesday and return to conference action Thursday at Marshfield Columbus Catholic.
