MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys soccer team dropped its second straight Wisconsin Valley Conference game, losing 3-0 to Stevens Point Area Senior High on Tuesday at Griese Park.

Marshall Bell scored in the 11th minute and Colton Woyak added a pair of goals as Stevens Point wraps up its WVC season at 8-4.

Marshfield managed just one shot on goal and Tigers coach Ron Todyrk said they played a little tentative.

“We played a little back on our heels,” Todryk said. “We had some good balls, worked it to the corners, had some crosses in, but SPASH just beat us to the ball on several occasions. There were several shots we got but they were a little high, a little wide or blocked by their defense.”

Marshfield falls to 4-7 in the Valley and will wrap up its conference schedule Thursday night at Wisconsin Rapids. The WIAA playoffs start next Tuesday, with pairings to be announced later this week.
