ATHENS – Heavyn Kind had a double-double and two others finished in double figures scoring as well as the Spencer girls basketball team defeated Athens 42-33 in a nonconference game Monday night at Spencer High School.
Kind finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds and six steals, and Madison Knecht and Aryiah Schuh scored 11 points each for the Rockets, who are now 6-8 this season.
Elexa Post added five points, Amber Becker had two points and six rebounds, and Jorie Meyer also had six rebounds for Spencer.
Athens drops to 4-12. Athens statistics were not reported.
Spencer hosts Owen-Withee in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
