Stratford girls basketball drops home game to Wittenberg-Birnamwood

STRATFORD – Stratford was held to nine points in the second half and dropped a nonconference girls basketball game to Wittenberg-Birnamwood 56-28 on Monday night at Stratford High School.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood led 29-19 at halftime and put the game away with a 27-9 run in the second half.

Abi Fraaza had 18 points to lead the Chargers (13-1).

Stratford (4-12) shot just 21 percent (10-for-48). Breanna Ackley led the Tigers with 11 points.

Stratford plays at Marathon in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday.
