Columbus Catholic girls basketball falls at Gilman

GILMAN – Gilman raced out to a double-digit lead by halftime and went on to defeat Marshfield Columbus Catholic 60-44 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday night at Gilman High School.

Gilman led 34-21 by halftime and were able to maintain its double-digit lead at the end.

Emma Warner had 22 points and Emma Grunseth added 14 points for the Pirates, who are now 12-5 overall and 9-5 in the Cloverbelt East.

Annika Brown had 12 points to lead the Dons (8-10, 7-6 Cloverbelt East).

Columbus Catholic plays at Greenwood on Tuesday.
