Spencer boys basketball rips Owen-Withee

SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball team cruised to a 74-42 victory over Owen-Withee in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Spencer High School.

The win helps the Rockets keep pace with Neillsville in the conference standings. Spencer is now 14-4 overall and 13-1 in conference play, one-half game behind Neillsville for the top spot. The two teams will meet in Spencer on Tuesday.

Brett Kasch scored 32 points and Austin Bacon added 21 for the Rockets.

Aaron Ovyn had 13 points to lead Owen-Withee, which drops to 3-15 overall and 2-11 in the Cloverbelt East. The Blackhawks host Gilman on Tuesday.
