SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball team wrapped up no worse than a share of the Cloverbelt Conference East Division title with a 61-51 win over Colby on Friday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets finish their Cloverbelt East schedule with a 15-1 record and improve to 17-4 overall with the win. Neillsville, which defeated Granton on Friday night, has one conference game remaining at Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Monday and can tie Spencer for the conference title with a win.

The Cloverbelt East title is the first for Spencer since 2015.

Eric Ehlert led Spencer with 21 points, Brett Kasch had 15 points and five rebounds, and Austin Bacon added 11 points in the win. Hayden Bauman also had five points and 10 steals.
