LOYAL – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic defeated Loyal 75-71 in a high-scoring Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game on Friday night at Loyal High School.
The Dons improve to 9-11 overall and 8-7 in the Cloverbelt East with the win. Loyal falls to 9-11 and 6-9 in conference play.
Eden Jacobson had 29 points and Jadon Nienast scored 20 for Columbus Catholic.
Kole Bogdonovich led all scorers with 28 points for Loyal. Kaden Hagen added 17 points.

Both teams will wrap up their Cloverbelt East schedules on Monday. Columbus Catholic hosts Neillsville and Loyal will play at Owen-Withee. The teams will them conclude their regular-season schedule with Cloverbelt Conference crossover games at home on Thursday.
