Marshfield’s Gracie Holland repeats as vault champion, finishes second in all-around at 2020 WIAA State Gymnastics Meet

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Marshfield senior Gracie Holland won the vault title and finished second in the all-around at the 2020 WIAA State Individual Gymnastics Championships at Lincoln High School on Saturday.

Holland, who won the Division 1 vault and all-around titles last year, repeated as the vault champion with a score of 9.583, 1.5 points ahead of Miranda Knabe of Menomonee Falls/Germantown.

Knabe ended up beating Holland for the all-around title by 2.51 points with a score of 38.15 to Holland’s 37.899.

Holland finished in the top 10 in all three of her other events as well. She was fourth in the uneven bars with a score of 9.433, tied for seventh in the floor exercise with a 9.4, and finished 10th in the balance beam with a 9.483.

Gracie Moran of Waukesha West won the uneven bars with a 9.617, Franklin’s Araceli De Leo Lopez took first in the balance beam with a score of 9.867, and Annie Murphy of Wilmot and Emily Perkowski of Hartford tied for first in the floor exercise with scores of 9.5. Perkowski also won the floor at last year’s state meet.

Stevens Point junior Katelyn Trowbridge finished 18th in the all-around with a score of 35.284. She had scores of 9.017 in the floor, 9.317 in the beam, 8.233 in the vault and 8.717 in the bars.

Riley Keene, a sophomore for Stevens Point, competed in the floor exercise and finished 21st with a score of 8.933.
