During the coming weeks, MarshfieldAreaSports.com will be highlighting area high school senior student-athletes with our Senior Salute series.
The series continues with a look at the Spencer High School girls track team.
The Rockets have two seniors, both four-year participants in the Spencer program.
*Kaylee Wehrman is a four-year letterwinner in track and field and cross country. She ran the 800 and 1,600, and 3,200 meters, was part of the 3,200 relay team, and was a triple jumper during her Rockets’ career. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point next fall.
*Hannah Zastrow is a four-year letterwinner in track and is the defending WIAA Division 3 girls state champion in the 100-meter high hurdles. She reached the podium as a top-six finisher in each of her first three seasons at the state meet. She participated in the high jump, pole vault, numerous relays and the 100 and 300 hurdles. Zastrow will be attending UW-Stout in Menomonie next year and will be part of the Blue Devils’ women’s track and field team.
