During the coming weeks, MarshfieldAreaSports.com will be highlighting area high school senior student-athletes with our Senior Salute series.
The series continues with a look at the Marshfield High School boys golf team.
Marshfield has five seniors on this year’s team. The Tigers finished third in the overall standings of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament, won a WIAA Division 1 regional title at Antigo and placed fifth in the sectional meet at New Richmond.
*Jeffrey Berres will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the fall to study Network Engineering and Information Technology, with a concentration in cyber security.
*Josh Gruen plans on attending UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield in the fall.
*Cole Hanson was an honorable mention all-Wisconsin Valley Conference selection last year, finishing in a tie for 11th in the final overall standings. Hanson will be attending Carthage College in Kenosha and plans on majoring in Chemistry and Biology.
*Dominic Lange plans on entering the work force following graduation.
*Khailyn Schaefer will be attending UW-Stevens Point in the fall to study Natural Science with an emphasis in Education.
