Columbus Catholic volleyball tops Loyal in Cloverbelt East opener

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team opened its home and Cloverbelt Conference East Division schedule with a win on Thursday night, downing Loyal 3-1.

The Dons won 25-7, 25-15, 21-25, 25-10, to even their record at 1-1.

Emmalee Jicinsky had 17 kills, 20 digs, four service aces and three block kills to lead the way for Columbus Catholic.

Dorci Walker added 13 kills, 11 digs, four blocks and four aces, Meghan Kibbel had a team-best 31 assists, and Kelsey Moore chipped in 12 digs on the defensive end for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic will compete at the Diocesan Tournament at Chippewa Falls McDonell on Saturday.
