CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team finished 2-1 and in second place at the Diocesan Tournament on Saturday at McDonell High School.

Columbus defeated Wausau Newman Catholic 25-21, 25-16, and Eau Claire Regis 26-24, 25-11, before losing to McDonell 25-15, 26-24 in the championship match.

Dorci Walker had 36 kills, 13 digs and five service aces, and Emmalee Jicinsky added 22 kills, 22 digs and five blocks to lead the Dons.

Kelsey Moore had a team-high 28 digs and Meghan Kibbel had 55 assists for Columbus Catholic.

Columbus will host Auburndale for a nonconference match on Monday. The match will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com/live-sports.
