Auburndale volleyball beats Edgar, stays unbeaten in Marawood South

AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale volleyball team dropped the opening set before storming back to down Edgar 3-1 in Marawood Conference South Division action Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

Edgar won the first set 25-22 before the Eagles won the next three sets 25-17,2 5-21, 25-19.

Auburndale improves to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the Marawood South after the home win.

Maddie Krings had 17 digs, Georgi Schmutzer had 35 assists and 10 digs, and Josie Ertl had a team-high 11 kills for Auburndale.

Kaitlyn Kundinger added nine kills and Brianna Weiler had seven for the Eagles.

Auburndale will have a week off before playing at Stratford on Sept. 29.
