Marshfield volleyball storms back to beat Wausau East

WAUSAU – The Marshfield volleyball team kept its perfect record intact with a 3-1 win over Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference match Thursday night at East High School.

Marshfield is now 3-0 this season, while East falls to 0-3.

East won the first set 26-24 before the Tigers rallied to take the final three by scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-17.

Elise Uphoff had 23 digs, Brooklyn Boushack had 15 kills and 21 digs, and Casey Frankland had a team-high 17 kills for Marshfield.

Setter Taylor Barwick had 42 assists for the Tigers.

Marshfield is at Wausau West on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. before a home match next Tuesday against D.C. Everest.
