WAUSAU – Wausau West took over in the second half, scoring five times to pull away and beat Marshfield 7-2 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys soccer game Saturday at West High School.
Spencer Frey and Sam Roherty had goals in the first half to help Marshfield forge a 2-2 tie heading into intermission.
Nick Raasch scored 5:32 into the second half for the Warriors and they took control from there.
West scored four times in the final 14 minutes to put away in the win and improve to 4-0 this season. Marshfield is now 3-3.
Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest at Heiting Community Stadium in Tuesday at 7 p.m.
