Columbus Catholic volleyball holds off Neillsville

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team earned a hard-fought 3-1 win over Neillsville on Saturday afternoon at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons lost the opening game 26-24 before storming back to win the final three, 26-24, 25-19, 25-10, and improve to 4-0 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division this season.

Dorci Walker had 27 kills, 11 digs and three blocks, and Meghan Kibbel had 49 assists and three service aces to lead the way for Columbus Catholic.

Emmalee Jicinsky added 20 kills and 15 digs, and Kelsey Moore had a team-high 22 digs for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic will wrap up its Cloverbelt East schedule next week with three matches as it looks to capture the conference championship.

The Dons play at Owen-Withee on Monday, and host Spencer on Thursday and Colby on Friday.
