MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won six of the 11 events but came up short in the overall scoring, falling 96-74 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls swimming dual meet Friday at Marshfield High School.
Marshfield finishes the regular season with a 6-4 record in WVC duals. Everest ends up 9-1 and tied for the regular-season conference title with Wausau West. The Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet will be Oct. 29 at Wisconsin Rapids.
Alyssa Franks won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:12.40 and the 500 freestyle in 5:53.15 for two of the Tigers’ wins.
Faith Risa also posted a pair of individual wins for Marshfield, taking first in the 200 individual medley in 2:20.59 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.70.
Courtney Donahue won the 100 backstroke in 1:07.59 for Marshfield’s other individual win.
The Tigers final win came in the 400 freestyle relay from the team of Franks, Lauren Olsewski, Skylar Onsager and Faith Risa in 4:05.32.
Sara Mayer won the 50 freestyle (25.82 seconds) and the 100 freestyle (1:00.40), and was part of the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay team wins for D.C. Everest.
