Late touchdown lifts Stratford over Wittenberg-Birnamwood in WIAA football postseason contest

STRATFORD – Devin Ulrich took a middle screen pass from Max Vanderhoof 24 yards for a touchdown with 2½ minutes remaining and Brayden Miller kicked the extra point to give the Stratford football team a 28-27 win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood in a WIAA Division 4 postseason game Thursday night at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers finish the 2020 season with a 5-2 record.

Beau Gross had 113 yards rushing and a touchdown, and Colten Schillinger caught four passes for 58 yards and a score, had 12 tackles, and recovered a fumble in the final minute to seal the game for Stratford.

Vanderhoof finished 8-for-18 passing for 118 yards and the two touchdowns for Stratford.
