WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Avery Dreier scored 18 points and Shawano made 10 3-pointers to push past Marshfield Columbus Catholic 56-44 in the championship game of the Cranberry Classic on Saturday at Assumption High School.
Shawano built a 27-22 lead by halftime and held on from there to improve to 3-0 this season. Columbus Catholic is now 1-2.
Hailey Zimmermann made three 3-pointers and scored a team-high nine points for the Dons. Erynn Meece added eight points in the loss.
Rachel Reed made five of the Hawks’ 10 3-pointers to add 15 points.
Columbus Catholic opens its Cloverbelt Conference East Division season at Granton on Tuesday before playing its home opener Thursday against Loyal.
