Marshfield’s Varsho loses 2nd-round match at WIAA state tennis meet

MADISON – Marshfield junior Taylor Varsho lost her second-round match Friday morning at the WIAA State Individual Girls Tennis Tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium at the University of Wisconsin.

Varsho, who won her first-round match in a tiebreaker Thursday, lost to Oshkosh West’s Karlin Naslund 6-1, 6-0 to end her season with a 22-9 record.

Naslund moves on to a quarterfinal match against McKennah Edwards of Fond du Lac (28-2) on Friday afternoon.
