Auburndale girls basketball pummels Abbotsford, improves to 3-0

ABBOTSFORD – All 10 Auburndale players scored, four in double figures, and the Eagles cruised to a 79-35 win over Abbotsford in a Marawood Conference girls basketball crossover game Friday night at Abbotsford High School.

Auburndale raced out to a 47-22 lead by halftime and finished off the win by holding the Falcons to just 13 points in the second half.

Kaitlyn Kundinger had 16 points, Georgi Schmutzer added 15 points, Hailey Grimm chipped in 12 and Victoria Hasenohrl had three 3-pointers and scored 11 for the Eagles, who are now 3-0 overall and in the Marawood Conference South Division.

Auburndale hosts Edgar in a Marawood South contest, while Abbotsford will play at Prentice in a Marawood North game, both on Tuesday.
