ATHENS – Heavyn Kind scored 20 points and Amber Becker chipped in 13 as the Spencer girls basketball team beat Athens 48-42 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Athens High School.
Spencer improves to 4-3 overall with the road win.
McKenzie Shug led Athens (3-3) with 10 points.
On Monday, Spencer dropped a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game at Greenwood 38-36.
Madison Knecht had 10 points and Kind eight points for the Rockets, who are 2-3 in Cloverbelt East play.
Spencer hosts Colby in a Cloverbelt East game on Thursday.
