MARATHON – Jaden Koeller scored 15 of his game-high 21 points in the second half to lead Marathon to a 61-52 win over Auburndale in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Tuesday at Marathon High School.
Marathon led 30-28 at halftime before opening up its lead in the second half by making nine of 10 free throws, including 6-for-6 from Koeller.
Hunter Wright had 16 points and six rebounds for Auburndale, which falls to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the Marawood South. Carl Lundgren added 14 points on 7-for-8 shooting for the Eagles.
Brock Warren added 17 points for Marathon (5-1, 2-1 Marawood South).
Auburndale hosts undefeated Edgar (4-0, 3-0 Marawood South) on Friday at 7:15 p.m. The game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com/live-sports.
