Auburndale girls basketball dominates Columbus Catholic

AUBURNDALE – All 10 Auburndale players scored, led by Annamarie Aue’s 13 points, as the Eagles rolled to a 64-20 nonconference win over Marshfield Columbus Catholic in girls basketball action Tuesday nigh at Auburndale High School.

Auburndale cruised out to a 41-10 lead by halftime and didn’t let up as it upped its season record to 5-1.

Georgie Schmutzer and Brianna Weiler each had eight points, and Aliah Hamus and Hailey Grimm both scored seven for the Eagles.

Emmalee Jicinsky had eight points for Columbus Catholic (3-6).

Auburndale will play at Stratford on Friday in a battle of 4-1 Marawood Conference South Division leaders, and Columbus Catholic hosts Eau Claire Regis for a nonconference game at 3 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com/live-sports.
