Late surge lifts Marshfield boys hockey past D.C. Everest

SCHOFIELD – The Marshfield boys hockey team remained unbeaten in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with a come-from-behind 6-3 win over D.C. Everest on Tuesday night at Greenheck Fieldhouse.

D.C. Everest led 3-1 late in the second period before Marshfield heated up.

Sawyer Schindler and Ben Konrardy scored in the final 6 minutes of the second period to tie the match at 3-3 for Marshfield.

The score remained tied until the Tigers put up three goals in the final 6:26 of the game to earn the win.

Konrardy, Payton Smith and Triston Reissmann scored the final three goals for Marshfield, which is now 3-2 overall and 3-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Cole Halvorsen had 15 saves in goal for the Tigers.

Marshfield will have a week off before hosting Wausau West on Dec. 22.
