WEYAUWEGA – The Spencer girls basketball team overcame a sluggish first half to defeat Weyauwega-Fremont 40-27 in a nonconference game Monday at Weyauwega-Fremont High School.

Spencer led 12-8 after a low-scoring first half and outscored W-F by nine in the second half to grab the double-digit win and improve to 6-4 this season.

Zalexis Mannigel had 13 points to pace the Rockets.

Spencer returns to action Tuesday with a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game at Loyal
