WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Schuyler Gilhausen hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 73-43 win over Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in a Marawood Conference South Division game Monday at Assumption High School.
Hunter Wright added 21 points on 9 of 12 shooting for Auburndale, which is now 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
Auburndale shot 64 percent from the field, making 29 of 45 shots in the win. The Eagles also made 7 of 13 3-pointers, with Gilhausen making 5 of 8.
Ryan Shaw scored 19 points for Assumption, which falls to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the Marawood South.
Both teams return to action Friday with Marawood crossover games on the road. Auburndale will be at Chequamegon and Assumption is at Rib Lake.
