Auburndale boys basketball snags road win at Chequamegon

PARK FALLS – Hunter Wright poured in 28 points and Auburndale shot 49 percent in defeating Chequamegon 73-55 in a Marawood Conference boys basketball crossover game Friday night at Chequamegon High School.

Wright was 12 of 24 from the field, making four 3-pointers, to lead Auburndale.

Auburndale is now 8-2 overall and 6-1 in the Marawood South, keeping pace atop of the conference standings.

Alex Willfahrt added 12 points and Carl Lundgren chipped in 10 for Auburndale.

Auburndale will play at Wausau Newman Catholic on Tuesday.
