Stratford girls basketball wins Marawood crossover game at Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD – The Stratford girls basketball team maintained its spot atop the Marawood Conference South Division standings with a 55-43 win over Abbotsford in a conference crossover game on Friday night at Abbotsford High School.

Breanna Ackley scored 30 points, shooting 12 of 24 from the field, which included a 5-for-9 performance from 3-point range, to lead the way for Stratford.

The Tigers are now 7-4 overall and 6-2 in the Marawood South, remaining in first place. Auburndale, Edgar and Wisconsin Rapids Assumption are all 4-2 in conference play with Stratford traveling to Auburndale on Monday and hosting Edgar on Thursday.

Gracie Hauke added seven points for Stratford.

Mya Ruesch scored 12 points and Sydney Falteisek added 10 for Abbotsford (2-8, 0-5 Marawood North).
