MARSHFIELD – Maggie Callaghan scored 12 of her 15 points in the second half helping the Columbus Catholic girls basketball team to a 60-49 win over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Friday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
Columbus Catholic won for the second time in a row, improving to 5-8 overall and 4-3 in the Cloverbelt East, while handing Colby (7-3 overall, 5-2 Cloverbelt East) just its second conference loss of the season, both to the Dons.
Jenna Kibbel also scored 15 points and Meghan Kibbel added 10 for the Dons.
Emma Peavey had 13 points and Hayden Willner 10 for Colby.
Both teams return to action Monday with Cloverbelt East matchups – Colby at Gilman and Columbus Catholic at home against Greenwood.
