McDonell snaps Columbus Catholic boys basketball’s win streak at three

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team had its three-game win streak snapped, losing a nonconference game to Chippewa Falls McDonell 70-58 on Saturday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

McDonell led 37-30 at halftime and held on from there to improve to 5-3 this season.

Eden Jacobson and Grant Olson both scored 17 points to lead Columbus Catholic, which is now 8-2.

Columbus Catholic will host Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Tuesday for a nonconference tilt. The game, at 7:15 p.m., will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
