STRATFORD – Stratford used a dominant first half to defeat Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 55-32 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Tuesday at Stratford High School.
The Tigers pulled out to a 27-8 lead by halftime and held on from there to improve to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in the Marawood South. Assumption falls to 1-8 and 1-6 in conference play.
Max Vanderhoof scored 14 points, and Cody Miller and Devin Ulrich each had 10 points for Stratford. Zack Seitz added a team-high 10 rebounds in the win.
Stratford hosts Edgar on Friday, while Assumption travels to first-place Auburndale.
