AUBURNDALE – Schuyler Gilhausen made six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 21 points to lift the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 75-46 victory over Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Friday night at Auburndale High School.
With the victory, Auburndale pushes its winning streak to eight and maintains its one-game lead over Edgar in the Marawood South standings. The Eagles are now 10-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play. Edgar, which won at Stratford on Friday, is 6-1 in conference play.
Alex Willfahrt added 19 points on 7-for-9 shooting, Hunter Wright scored 13 points and Carl Lundgren chipped in 11 for Auburndale, which pulled out to a huge 56-18 by halftime.
Reed Duellman made four 3-pointers and scored 12 for Assumption (1-9, 1-7 Marawood South).
Assumption will play nonconference games at Stevens Point Pacelli on Saturday and Adams-Friendship on Tuesday. Auburndale returns to action Thursday with a nonconference game at Amherst.
